A future phone might include two 200MP cameras, potentially rivaling the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Samsung may be about to face fierce competition for its flagship smartphone and camera sensor.
If accurate, this could mean Samsung will lose its top spot in camera sensors to Sony. The Korean company has been the primary sensor provider for all 200MP camera smartphones, but it may soon encounter competition. Digital Chat Station reports that Vivo may not be the only brand planning to use Sony's new sensor, with Oppo and Xiaomi also mentioned as possible customers.
Samsung's challenge could be made harder by its strategy for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company has used the ISOCELL HP2 on each of its Ultra models since 2023, and it is expected to continue this trend with its next flagship phone.
