A Galaxy Ring user experienced a swollen battery that caused the ring to get stuck on their finger.

The owner of the smart ring had to visit a hospital to get it removed from his finger.
Close-up images show the Galaxy Ring's expanded inner section pressing into Rotar's finger. The ring's external part is made of titanium, which would not expand to accommodate the swollen battery. Rotar stated that he had previously experienced problems with his ring, as the battery life had decreased to less than 36 hours, but it was empty when the incident occurred.
Rotar reported being denied boarding for his flight a few hours later and being transported to a hospital to have the ring removed. Doctors employed ice and a medical lubricant to alleviate finger swelling.
Images of the ring after removal reveal apparent damage to the interior. A section of the internal plastic appears misshapen and detached from the casing. Rotar stated, "Won't be wearing a smart ring ever again," following the experience.
This is not the first online report of a Galaxy Ring battery swelling. A Reddit user reported a few months ago that his ring had expanded while on his finger, though not as severely as in Rotar's photographs.
Batteries can sometimes expand, and Samsung is well aware of this. This incident is unlikely to indicate a broader issue with the Galaxy Ring's battery. However, it serves as a reminder to handle device batteries with care. If you have any battery issues, get a battery check before they worsen.
