A leaked iPhone 17 accessory is expected to be disappointing.

You may be able to get an official strap accessory from Apple, but it might not be your best purchase.
Reports previously stated Apple's upcoming accessory would utilize a unique system of holes and magnets for connecting to iPhone 17 cases. The newly leaked images reveal a product that likely still features magnets, but relies on loops for secure attachment.
Apple might offer different versions of its longer strap. A more affordable version with textile loops could attach to more cases, while a more expensive one might use magnets. The latter could be the rumored Crossbody Strap, which Apple might mention in its presentation. However, this is speculation, and more details will be available tomorrow.
It's time for Apple to improve its accessories. Peak Design has created an entire ecosystem of accessories around its Everyday Case, including an anchor system. Samsung’s first-party products, like the Standing Grip Case for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, are versatile and interesting as well.
While I'm not a big fan of phone lanyards, I can imagine using one occasionally. Before choosing Apple’s version, the company needs to demonstrate that it has learned from the FineWoven issues and begin providing high-quality accessories. Otherwise, I may stick to more affordable market options.
