A leaked unboxing suggests the new iPad Pro with the M5 chip will offer significant performance improvements.

An early unboxing video of the M5 iPad Pro surfaced, detailing significant CPU and GPU improvements that solidify its pro-grade ambitions.
A leaked Russian video has revealed an unboxing and hands-on preview of Apple's unreleased M5 iPad Pro. The design appears similar to the prior model.
Benchmark results featured in the video indicate the M5 chip contains 9 CPU cores (6 performance, 3 low-power), matching the M4. CPU speeds show an increase of 12% to 15%.
Graphics performance sees the biggest improvement, with a reported GPU increase of up to 35%. The tablet is also expected to have 12GB of RAM, similar to top-tier iPhone 17 Pro models.
Commenting on the leak, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg stated the new M5 iPad Pro has an identical design to the M4 predecessor, suggesting no major design changes.
The unboxing displays the thin design, Tandem OLED screen with thin bezels, and the same port and button layout. Existing accessories like the Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard should still be compatible.
The box's contents include the iPad Pro and a braided USB-C cable. The M5 upgrade focuses on internal performance, suited for professionals needing more speed without a redesigned device.
The video's availability is uncertain given Apple's stance on leaks. This preview gives insight into the M5 iPad Pro, highlighting performance improvements, especially in GPU capabilities.
As this information is from a leak, it should be taken with caution. Apple is expected to officially reveal the M5 iPad Pro later this month.
