A new app is outperforming Apple's built-in features by offering superior AI capabilities on iPhones.

WhatsApp can now help you write better messages on iOS in a way that Apple Intelligence doesn’t seem to be able to.
The Writing Help function is not automatically enabled; users must manually activate it to use it.
Currently, the feature is being introduced in English to users in the United States and a number of other nations. WhatsApp has stated in its official blog post regarding Writing Help that it intends to make it available in more languages and countries before the year is through.
Although the iPhone 16's Apple Intelligence includes writing tools, they are not the best available. Compared to Samsung's Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S25 and Gemini on the Pixel 10, Apple is lagging behind, even with these basic features, therefore WhatsApp's assistance is appreciated.
As a writer, I don't want AI to compose my messages, but the proofreading feature seems like it could be helpful. Given Meta's privacy claims, I believe many people will utilize Writing Help. However, as I am doubtful of AI, I will most likely leave it disabled.
