A new report has raised concerns about Verizon, which isn't surprising to its subscribers.

Verizon's year may be about to go from bad to worse.
A Reddit user, glowshroom12, stated in November 2025 that their survey data indicates Verizon is losing many subscribers and has the most disconnected numbers among major carriers.
Though the user provided no data, many commenters agreed Verizon's quality has declined. Another Reddit user, aquatone61, said they have been a Verizon customer for around 15 years and are considering switching. BobSmithYes, a different user, said they left Verizon for Google Fi after 15 years because they were unsure when loyalty discounts would return.
Verizon has seen subscriber losses for the last three quarters. The survey results may indicate another decline in subscribers. The Reddit thread contains numerous comments from dissatisfied customers who have switched or plan to.
Dan Schulman, Verizon's new CEO, aims to improve the situation, but it is too early to see results. Despite acknowledging that rising prices caused customers to leave and that a cultural change is needed, he has not yet taken action. The company lacks a clear plan for the loyalty discount, which was a key reason for customer retention. The carrier's campaign to lower bills may be ineffective because Verizon may be overpromising.
Verizon needs to evaluate its position before making significant promises. Promising improvements while maintaining current practices will further alienate customers. Poor customer service also frustrates customers, and if rumors are accurate, it may worsen.
Verizon's denial of the situation has led to its current state. It remains the largest company in terms of subscribers, but it may lose its lead to T-Mobile. Many customers believe service quality is deteriorating.
Verizon is working to attract and keep customers. It recently announced new deals for new and existing subscribers, offering some hope.
