A new report reveals potential design details for the iPhone 17e and iPhone 18 Pro.

The iPhone 17e display is catching up to the rest of Apple's lineup, even if it's not in the way we want.
A leaker suggests that the 2026 iPhone 18 Pro will keep the same rear camera design found in this year's Pro models, while the iPhone 17e will feature a Dynamic Island but maintain a 60Hz display.
Digital Chat Station reports that the iPhone 18 Pro will continue to use the full-width camera plateau seen on the current Pro versions. The rectangular glass strip that holds the triple-lens camera system will remain for at least another year.
The leaker also suggests that Apple might adjust the finish of the transparent area below the plateau. Additionally, new color options are expected with each iteration.
These updates align with the incremental design changes observed in recent years. This approach is expected since the company typically sticks with significant design elements, such as the camera plateau, regardless of public reaction.
The leaker also mentioned Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 17e, expected in early 2026. This model will likely transition from a notch to a Dynamic Island, providing a more contemporary appearance consistent with the rest of the lineup. However, the phone will reportedly remain at a 60Hz refresh rate, indicating that Apple's ProMotion display technology will remain exclusive to premium models for the time being.
It could be a while before Apple introduces a higher display refresh rate to its budget iPhones. The company took a considerable amount of time to implement that upgrade to its base iPhone model, so it would be surprising to see it on a lower-cost model anytime soon.
