A new report suggests the Samsung Galaxy S26 will have improvements in two key areas.

Samsung's next ultra-high-end handset family is now expected to come out earlier than previously rumored, with the Ultra model likely to pack the processor you all want.
Rumors of a March 2026 launch for the Galaxy S26 series appear to be inaccurate. A late January unveiling is now expected, with the devices potentially launching worldwide in mid-February.
This schedule is slightly later than the Galaxy S25 series launch this year, which was announced on January 22 and released globally on February 3. However, it is still ahead of the speculated February 25, 2026 date, or even a March launch.
While subject to change, a Korean news source claims the February release of the S26 lineup is confirmed by Samsung. Though schedules can fluctuate, a delay from late January to March seems unlikely. At worst, the event may occur in February, with the phone's release following suit.
Following rumors of an all-Snapdragon Galaxy S25 family, there was speculation Samsung would use only Exynos chips for the S26 series, a concern for performance enthusiasts. However, the S26 Ultra is now expected to use a Qualcomm chip, while the standard S26 and S26 Plus might use the Exynos 2600.
It is too early to definitively say whether the Exynos 2600 will outperform the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Many users may have formed opinions based on their past experiences with the different processors.
The name Exynos is viewed negatively by many Galaxy users, which could put the S26 and S26 Plus at a disadvantage. The S26 Ultra may prove more successful than its siblings.
The S26 Ultra appears well-equipped to be a top seller, potentially surpassing its predecessor. Despite concerns about the design, this has not historically stopped Samsung's flagship phones from succeeding.
A potential price increase over the S25 Ultra may be a concern, especially if it is the only S26 model with a Qualcomm processor.
However, given the increasing cost of high-end phones, this may not hinder the S26 Ultra's success. The S26 and S26 Plus could provide more affordable options.
