A Pixel 10 bug is causing apps to randomly crash for some users.
Quite a few owners of Google's latest smartphones are finding it hard to do... much of anything on their handsets all of a sudden.
Reports of app issues on the Pixel 10 have surfaced, with users expressing frustration on Reddit after experiencing frequent freezing and crashing.
"I just started experiencing this yesterday. It is frustrating. If an app does open and load, it won't let me touch anything and it crashes," said cdriese on Reddit on October 12, 2025.
The problem appears widespread, affecting various apps across the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, hindering device usability.
Many users attribute the issues to Google's October security update, while one user reported experiencing problems with the September software. A Pixel 9 user mentioned frequent hanging, suggesting the bug isn't limited to the Pixel 10 series.
Google has yet to formally acknowledge or address the Pixel 10 issues. The recent Reddit reports might not reflect a widespread problem, considering the number of devices sold.
"As I was afraid, this solution works for a few hours, but the freezes come back," said archon810 on Reddit on October 13, 2025, regarding potential fixes.
Users have attempted troubleshooting, but solutions are either drastic or ineffective. One workaround involves uninstalling Google Play services and Google Play Store updates, but this can cause logouts and app malfunctions, with temporary relief for some.
The issues raise concerns about the functionality of premium devices. Google is expected to address the Pixel 10 bug, similar to past issues with Pixel devices.
However, Google's solutions are not always successful, as a month-old Pixel 10 glitch persists for some users. The hope is that the new bug will be resolved quickly.
