A possible delay could lead to spec improvements for the Galaxy S26 series.

The Galaxy S26 family might come with better camera and battery specs than expected.

The leak also reveals details regarding the canceled Galaxy S25 Edge successor and a "More Slim" model. The thin variant could feature a 6.6-inch OLED screen, a 50MP main camera, a hybrid 50MP sensor for both ultra-wide and telephoto functions, and a battery capacity near 4,300mAh.
Some leaked specifications are questionable. It was previously believed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra would offer a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom and a 5,000mAh battery. While some anticipate camera improvements to standard models, Samsung making such extensive changes seems atypical.
The Galaxy S26 Plus's inclusion has reportedly caused the Galaxy S26 series' launch delay, making alterations to the Galaxy S26 Ultra seem illogical.
However, the success of the iPhone 17 series may have prompted Samsung to implement significant changes.
Samsung's Mobile Experience Division VP, Danie Araujo, stated during their Q3 earnings call that the Galaxy S26 series will revolutionize user experience, featuring next-generation AI and new camera sensors. This suggests substantial rather than minor camera upgrades.
Most smartphone manufacturers have avoided silicon-carbon batteries. It's unclear how the Galaxy S26 Ultra could incorporate larger sensors and a bigger battery without increasing its size. However, rumors of a 5,500mAh battery for the Galaxy S26 Ultra have circulated, suggesting that a larger battery is possible.
Similarly, the More Slim model recently appeared in a leak, lending credibility to Alchimist Leaks' information.
Samsung might be improvising with the Galaxy S26 lineup, potentially leading to sudden decisions to include improved sensors.
For now, this leak should be regarded with skepticism.
