A reliable source has revealed the expected name, dimensions, screen specs, and other details for Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold.

The most ambitious foldable device since the original Galaxy Fold is holding fewer and fewer secrets.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to have a 10-inch inner display with 2600 nits peak brightness, a 6.5-inch cover screen with 1600 nits peak brightness, and a 200MP primary camera. The battery capacity will be 5,437mAh (rated), and it will use a Snapdragon processor.
These specifications align with previous rumors regarding the main camera's megapixel count, screen sizes, and battery capacity. The phone will likely be advertised with a 5,600mAh battery, similar to how the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a rated battery capacity of 4,272mAh but is advertised as 4,400mAh.
Galaxy Z TriFold is likely the device's official name. The inclusion of a Snapdragon chipset is anticipated, though the specific model is unconfirmed.
Information from Evan Blass indicates that the thickness of the device's "leaves" varies from 3.9 to 4.2mm. The primary screen's 2600 nits peak brightness matches that of the Z Fold 7, and the cover screen's 1600 nits peak brightness exceeds the Z Fold 7's 1400 nits.
The price and availability will be key factors. Availability is expected to be limited to China, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and South Korea, with Europe and the US excluded from the initial launch on December 5.
The price is projected to be between $2,000 and $3,000 in South Korea. Samsung anticipates limited sales, but consumer perception and the potential for future models could depend on the final price.
While Samsung may hope the Galaxy Z TriFold will help regain the top spot in foldable sales, the release of Apple's first foldable iPhone could impact this goal. To compete, Samsung needs reliable devices like an improved Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a budget-friendly Z Flip Fan Edition, rather than experimental designs.
