An old app in the App Store has been updated with a new "Liquid Glass" feature.

Apple refreshes the look of an app that has been in the App Store since 2008.
Shazam is a straightforward application to use. Users simply tap the icon to launch the app and allow it to listen for a song to identify. Apple acquired Shazam in 2017 for $400 million. The company has now announced a new update for the Shazam application in the App Store.
The "What's New" section in the App Store states that the app features a redesigned "Liquid Glass look," allowing users to navigate between Home, Library, Concerts, and Search, providing faster access to music and events. The updated home screen also displays recently identified songs for easier access. The update requires iOS 16.
In addition to identifying music, Shazam can locate upcoming concerts for identified artists. Within the app, tapping the three-dot icon at the top-right reveals a "Find Concerts" option. Selecting this option displays a list of concert dates and locations, with the option to purchase tickets via Ticketmaster. While not a new addition, this function may prove useful.
Shazam is also available on Android, though Pixel users have access to the Now Playing feature, which identifies songs from the lock screen. The Shazam app can be installed on iPhones via the App Store and on Android devices via the Google Play Store.
