Apple has allocated 25% of its production to the standard iPhone 17, 10% to the Air model, and 65% to the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. Historically, Pro models have been the top sellers, particularly in the initial months.
Given the quality of the base iPhone 17, this is not surprising. Apple has equipped it with a 120Hz ProMotion display with an always-on feature and increased the base storage to 256GB. It retains the $799 price point of previous models, $300 less than the orange iPhone 17 Pro with identical storage and display.
