Apple is planning to upgrade displays and raise prices on some products.

Three of Apple’s most important products may get OLED displays and price hikes.
That strategy aligns with other brands' use of OLED in tablets. Samsung has used OLED displays on its high-end tablets, such as the Galaxy Tab S11 series, for some time. Most other tablets, including the OnePlus Pad 3 and Google Pixel Tablet, still use LCD screens. Therefore, Apple's decision not to plan an OLED update for the standard iPad is logical.
Beneficial, but Not Always Essential
While improved displays are desirable on all devices, OLED may not be a crucial upgrade that justifies a higher laptop price. Although it offers exceptional blacks and vibrant colors, these features are less important for work and browsing, which is how I typically use laptops.
Conversely, iPads are ideal for content consumption, making an OLED panel more suitable. It's uncertain whether the improved picture quality will justify the increased cost, but it's a possibility.
