Apple's iOS 26.0.1 update fixes a major Wi-Fi bug and includes other improvements.

Apple drops a must-install iOS 26.0.1 update that kills annoying bugs.
Users who have installed iOS 26.1 Beta 1 will likely receive bug fixes with the launch of iOS 26.1 Beta 2. The new iOS 26.0.1 update addresses issues such as rear camera problems on the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Fusion Max camera on the iPhone Air. CNN's Henry Casey found that when photographing a concert, an LED screen behind the band appeared blacked out in photos taken with both phones.
Apple acknowledged the problem, stating it could occur "in very rare cases when an LED light display is extremely bright." The company said a fix was in the works. The iOS 26.0.1 release may include this fix. Other resolved issues include problems downloading Apple Intelligence models, and search within the Calendar app on the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air.
The update also fixes a bug causing iPhones to disconnect from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. According to Apple's release notes, iOS 26.0.1 resolves these problems:
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth disconnections on iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro models
Inability to connect to cellular networks after updating to iOS 26 for some iPhone users
Artifacts appearing in photos taken in certain lighting conditions with iPhone 17, iPhone Air, and iPhone 17 Pro models
App icons appearing blank after adding a custom tint
VoiceOver becoming disabled for some users after updating to iOS 26
To install iOS 26.0.1 on a compatible iPhone, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and follow the prompts. The iOS 26.0.1 and iPadOS 26.0.1 updates are available for iPhone 11 and later, iPad Pro 12.9-inch 3rd generation and later, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 8th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.
