It's easy to tell that Intel's Arc Pro GPUs didn't get the treatment from big graphics card makers like they offer support to NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. ASRock and Acer are the two big names that offer Intel Arc GPUs, and then we have smaller brands such as Sparkle, & several new brands that only make Intel Arc products.
During the early days of Intel's Xe-based GPUs, ASUS was one of the first to roll out a DG1 card with a passive-cooling solution. But two Intel Arc generations have passed, and we haven't seen Arc graphics cards from the likes of ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc.
Well, it looks like things have changed and ASUS has decided to offer its first Intel Arc graphics card. The graphics card is based on Intel's Big Battlemage "BMG-G31" GPU, and is called the ASUS UGen Arc Pro B70. Yes, this is the full Arc Pro configuration based on the top Xe2 chip with 32 Gigs of memory.
The ASUS UGen Intel Arc Pro B70 is a dual-slot design which features a blower-type cooler and four display outputs (1x HDMI + 3x DP). The card features a maximum TBP of 310W and offers 367 TOPS of AI compute. The card supports multi-GPU functionality and can be paired in four-way for up to 128 GB of VRAM.
On the product page, ASUS heavily emphasizes the AI performance of the Arc Pro B70, which makes sense since the card was designed for AI and workstation use cases. Intel Arc Pro B70 offers a lot of value compared to the competition, as we mentioned in our review. And given the rising demand for AI systems, ASUS adding an Intel Arc variant in addition to the NVIDIA RTX Pro and AMD Radeon AI PRO models in its lineup is not a surprise.
Some of the main features of this graphics card include:
The company has also shared various benchmarks and test results of the UGen Intel Arc Pro B70 32 GB graphics card in AI workloads and test suites such as MLPerf Client, Agentic AI, and shared scalable local AI results too, with up to four of these cards.
While the pricing is not mentioned, Intel Arc Pro B70 32 GB variants usually sell for around $1299 to over $2000 US.
This might seem like a high price, but compared but it is better than the options out there. It is nice to see ASUS expanding its lineup to include Arc Pro GPUs, which might move it to making future Arc designs if Intel continues to offer discrete GPUs down the road. There just might be a Crescent Island D-Series GPU from ASUS in the future.
