AT&T is increasing home internet prices, but customers may be able to get a discount by contacting a specific department.

For the second consecutive year, AT&T is raising the price of its home internet service.
AT&T has stated that home internet customers facing increased monthly costs can find some relief. Those who have not enrolled in Autopay and Paperless Billing can receive a $10 monthly discount by enrolling with a bank account, or a $5 discount with a debit card.
AT&T spokesman Jim Kimberly said that the provider is adjusting internet plan rates to maintain quality as they address business needs and rising operational costs. He added that the company is dedicated to informing customers, who can review plan details on their monthly statements or on the AT&T website.
The price increase will affect customers of all AT&T internet services, except for those who signed up last year or those subscribed through the Access from AT&T program for low-income households. News of the increase first appeared on Reddit.
One Reddit user said that despite being promised a locked-in price of $65 per month for AT&T Fiber, their rate increased by $10 per month the following year. The user reported being told that the price increased because of higher production costs. Another user wrote that they would be canceling their service due to "pure greed." Some users will be paying $90 per month for their AT&T Fiber service. One customer was able to reduce their $90 bill by calling the AT&T loyalty department, who switched them to a different pricing plan at $80 per month. The carrier also offered $20 off per month for 12 months and a $100 gift card.
The company has announced the upcoming release of "Iconic Phones: Revolution at Your Fingertips," a coffee table book.
