AT&T's holiday research indicates a trend that major retailers may find unfavorable.

The survey shows where people really want to put their money this season.
AT&T Focuses on Serving Business Clients
For some time, AT&T has devoted significant effort to providing solutions for business customers. The company consistently seems to focus on the business sector, from introducing new security options to adding AI to its network and developing technologies such as Express Waves, a fiber solution designed to improve performance for cloud, AI, and edge workloads.
Therefore, it is not particularly shocking that small businesses give AT&T high satisfaction marks.
Of course, the other major carriers are also active in this area. T-Mobile and Verizon also try to gain business customers whenever possible, typically using appealing deals or upgrades to retain their loyalty.
My Opinion
To me, this survey's main point is how much the holiday shopping environment is changing for average consumers. Most of us truly want to support small businesses and purchase personalized gifts.
However, major retailers, and even carriers such as AT&T with their iPhone 17 discounts, make it very tempting to choose the most affordable option. But I'm pleased to see that even with AI tools widely available, most Americans still prefer traditional online searching or browsing stores for inspiration.
