TL;DR: On Aug. 22, Best Buy is marking its 60th anniversary with a limited-quantity, in-store-only deal: a $100 Best Buy Gift Card for $60. It's capped at one per customer, with a minimum of 50 gift cards guaranteed per store.
Best Buy's 60th anniversary sale has already kicked off, but the celebration hits a new gear on Saturday, Aug. 22, with a one-day, in-store-only Anniversary Day event. This event includes a $100 Best Buy Gift Card for just $60, available exclusively at physical stores — no online shopping, no browsing ahead of time.
The gift card is capped at one per customer. Stores are guaranteed a minimum of 50 anniversary gift cards each, though exact inventory will vary by location. Since quantities are limited, Best Buy is advising shoppers to get there early — some locations may even use a line management system and hand out tickets if crowds build up.
Best Buy has confirmed there won't be rainchecks for anyone who can't make it Saturday, and the gift card deal doesn't qualify for the Price Match Guarantee, even though you're buying it directly in-store. In other words, if you snag the $100 card for $60, that's locked in — but miss the day, and it's gone.
One day, limited stock, no second chances — you know the drill.
