CMF by Nothing has released new customizable, budget-friendly headphones with long battery life.

The Headphone Pro might make you question why other headphones cost so much.

CMF is also trying a different approach with functionality. The Headphone Pro uses physical controls instead of only touch gestures for a more tactile experience (and possibly a lower price). A Roller button manages volume, ANC, and playback.

CMF has introduced an Energy Slider, which lets users change bass and treble based on the music. The headphones also have a customizable button that can activate Spatial Audio or AI access, offering a level of customization uncommon in this price range.
For audio, CMF includes Hybrid ANC with noise cancellation up to 40dB. The adaptive system adjusts automatically to the environment for optimal isolation.
The headphones contain custom 40mm nickel-plated drivers with Hi-Res audio and LDAC support, ensuring high-fidelity sound and low distortion. CMF's Personal Sound technology is also included, which tailors audio output to the user's ear canal for a personalized experience.
CMF emphasizes the device's long battery life. The Headphone Pro offers up to 100 hours of playback or 50 hours of talk time on one charge. Even with ANC on, users can get up to 50 hours of use.
The charging capabilities are also notable. A 5-minute charge provides up to 4 hours of listening, and a full charge takes under 2 hours via USB-C. Users can also charge the headphones from their smartphone with a USB-C cable, reducing downtime.
Pricing and Availability
The CMF Headphone Pro is currently available in the UK and EU, with a US release on October 7. The prices are:

A strong contender in the budget space
The Headphone Pro seems like a great value. CMF has demonstrated its audio quality with the Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus. With ANC, a modular design, unique controls, and a long-lasting battery, the Headphone Pro is a good choice for those seeking premium features at a reasonable price.

Few budget over-ear headphones offer this combination of features and design. Anker’s Soundcore Life Q45 is a competitor, but CMF’s design may help it stand out.
Hands-on testing is necessary
Ultimately, hands-on testing will determine the true value, as specifications and marketing claims are not always accurate. However, CMF's track record suggests that these headphones will offer more than just good looks. The Headphone Pro could be ideal for budget-conscious listeners who want ANC, long battery life, and customization.
