Digital Foundry: Zelda Ocarina of Time remake is 1080p and 60fps, but no DLSS - mynintendonews.com

Digital Foundry have analysed the Nintendo Switch 2 version and the native resolution is a mere 540p which uses DLSS to upscale it to 1080p. Did Nintendo tell them so? Obviously i’m a fan of DLSS.
The big title this holiday season for Nintendo Switch 2 owners is the gorgeous The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Naturally the tech sleuths at Digital Foundry have taken a look at the game and have determined that its 1080p and runs at a silky smooth 60fps. Interestingly Digital Foundry said that the game doesn’t implement DLSS upscaling which it feels would make a substantial difference. Digital Foundry’s Oliver Mackenzie says the graphics are an in-house solution or a partner’s engine and the acclaimed Monolith Soft is one of the likely candidates.
Capcom has unleashed DLSS upscaling to make Resident Evil Requiem shine on the Nintendo Switch 2. Digital Foundry have analysed the Nintendo Switch 2 version and the native resolution is a mere 540p which uses DLSS to upscale it to 1080p. The main issue is with the framerate which the…
The tech-focussed team at Digital Foundry have been looking closely at the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6 and have discovered that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game utilises DLSS. The DLSS image upscales the resolution from a base of 540p in handheld mode to a…
If you’ve been on the fence about upgrading to the Nintendo Switch 2 and are a big fan of the Pokemon franchise then Digital Foundry may have made your decision making a bit easier. Playing Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet sounds like a night and day change on Nintendo Switch…
Also, I do feel like the game is developed by Grezzo, in close collaboration with Nintendo and probably Monolithsoft.
They think the game doesn’t use DLSS, they think the graphics are an in-house solution or a partner’s engine and they think acclaimed Monolith Soft is one of the likely candidates.
Why would I care about Digital Guesses?
I don’t trust DF when they talk about Zelda. They spouted so much bullshit about TOTK and its clouds.
They use their recognition and fame to say whatever they want.
I hope they added more content to the main story.
Frankly I’m surprised they even bothered to add voice acting even if it’s just for parts of the main story, considering they screwed up the Star Fox remake voices with some of the characters.
Will people ever shut up about the voice acting in Star fox, it’s not bad at all. I think the 64 ones are a lot more charming and iconic, but the remakes voice acting is pretty solid.
Some of the bosses sound uninterested in battling.. They are bosses! The train driver in N64: I CAN’T STOP IIIIIT!!. Remake: sounding bored I can’t stop it.
Seriously there is no excusing it, it’s like they didn’t even listen to the original lines for context.. or had no context at all.
As much as I respect DF. I’ve also found Supermetaldave64 who does some incredible breakdowns.
Is he still going? I guess he finally got his PS4 Nintendo machine after all these years
Why do people listen to these clowns
And how would they know? Did Nintendo tell them so?
Hear them how they boo and hiss to see them fail they will not miss.
We’re upset now about not using DLSS? I consider native 1080p 60fps significantly more appealing than just throwing everything into DLSS machine and calling it a day.
I mean have you seen how DLSS has improved over the years? I say if they can they should use DLSS to give that 1440p60fps experience. DLSS and even Frame gen on PC through Intels FG is amazing. DLSS is damn near as good as Native Resolution. Obviously i’m a fan of DLSS. It boosts FPS a good deal and still looks great.
Good. AI upscaling is hot garbage.
Every switch 2 review they do they say the same thing about dlss “sharp image when stationary but it all falls apart when moving” and they want this shit for zelda? They really don’t know what they are talking about or are just ragebaiting
