Fitbit has a new design, but it's not yet available to all users.

The new Material 3 Expressive design is live for some users.
The app features updated shapes, such as a checkmark animation that appears upon reaching a goal. Each metric view contains a floating toolbar with a floating action button for switching between time frames. For stats like Steps and Sleep, users can switch between Day, Week, Month, 3 Months, or Year views.
A floating button provides access to the personal AI health coach. The Today, Fitness, and Sleep areas now use a layered design. The top stats are displayed on a themed background, with the remaining content on a card layer that expands while scrolling. Color themes, such as teal for Fitness and purple for Sleep, offer visual separation.
The app does not yet support Dynamic Color. The bottom bar, toolbar, and floating action button still use Fitbit's default blue accent.
Google is delivering on its commitment to update Fitbit. The app serves as a central hub for all health and fitness data, whether using a tracker or smartwatch. Aligning its design with other Google products is a positive change.
The layout appears somewhat cluttered in the preview, but this may change before the final release. Fitbit Premium subscribers may want to preview the update early. Although not yet perfect, Google is working to make Fitbit more modern and integrated.
