Gboard for Android is adding new features.

Control the size of the fonts used on the Gboard for Android app, and more.
Gboard, the virtual keyboard application for Android, is getting an update. A new setting will allow users to adjust the keyboard's font size directly within the app, rather than through the phone's settings. To access the virtual keyboard on an Android phone, open the Google Messages app and tap the "Compose" button. Then, tap the gear icon, or if it's not visible, long-press the comma key and slide to the gear icon.
In the settings menu, navigate to Preferences and then Font Size. The default setting is "Match Systems." Using the slider in the "Font size" box, users can reduce the font to 85% of its default size or increase it to as much as 200%. This feature can be helpful for users who have difficulty reading the letters and numbers on the keyboard. The icons in the Gboard toolboard will also change size as the font size is adjusted.
The font size slider has options for 85%, 100%, 115%, 130%, 150%, 180%, and 200%. This feature was found on a Pixel 6 Pro running the latest Android 16 QPR2 Beta. However, some new AI features are not yet available on this device and are exclusive to the Pixel 10 series. These AI features include a pencil icon in the suggestion bar that provides access to Writing Tools, which can check for errors in grammar, punctuation, and typos.
Users can also use the AI features to rewrite text to be more professional or friendlier, or to make it longer or shorter using voice commands like "Rephrase this," "Make it longer," or "Make it shorter." The Smart Edit feature allows users to make edits using voice commands. For example, users can replace a word, insert a word, add punctuation, or replace a word by saying "Change Dog to Cat."
If Gboard is not already installed on your Android phone, it can be downloaded from the Play Store via a link.
In other news, a new coffee table book called "Iconic Phones: Revolution at Your Fingertips" will be released in a few months. The book will explore the technological revolution of the 21st century and is aimed towards tech enthusiasts. Follow the link provided for additional details.
