Google hasn't explained why a key feature is disabled on the Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro.

While the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 7 Pro can, in theory, work with this major Android feature, Google has disabled it.
Locating an item with a UWB tag is very different from using a BLE tag or a crowdsourced network. UWB provides specific directions to nearby items, showing the precise distance to the lost item. BLE tags only indicate the general location.
Crowdsourced networks rely on other Android devices detecting the BLE signal of the missing item and transmitting its GPS location to the cloud. The tracker then receives a notification with a map showing where the signal was picked up.
Currently, the Moto Tag is the only Find Hub tracker with UWB. Also, most Android phones lack UWB support, though Google includes it in all Pixel Pro models from the Pixel 6 Pro onward. However, the Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro do not support Find Hub's UWB precision tracking.
Google confirmed to Android Authority that UWB precision tracking is available on the Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL/Fold, and Pixel 10 Pro XL/Fold. Google has not explained why the Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro are excluded.
Samsung includes UWB in its "Ultra," "Plus," and "Fold" models, and Motorola offers it in some Android phones. Using the Moto Tag requires a UWB-enabled phone. A Google support page states that "UWB availability and performance varies by tag and device models with Android 13 and up."
The support page lists devices with UWB support:
Pixel 8 series and later (Pro models)
Samsung Galaxy S21 and later (Plus and Ultra models)
Motorola Edge and Razr
