Google released a new Pixel update that includes feature enhancements.

With lock screen effects, smarter audio, and better watch integration, this feature drop is about more than just a visual refresh.

Google seems to be approaching the level of customization offered by Samsung's One UI on Galaxy devices. Samsung users have long enjoyed extensive customization options, especially using Good Lock for detailed control over settings like the lock screen clock and Quick Settings.
The new Pixel "Live effects" may not have the same in-depth customization, but they mark a significant advancement for standard Android. Google's approach to personalization focuses on dynamic animations rather than numerous settings.
Beyond aesthetics, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 gain Adaptive Audio, which adapts to the environment, and Loud Noise Protection. A notable update is that Maps navigation started on a phone will automatically appear on a Pixel Watch, offering convenience at intersections.
These updates begin today and will continue in the coming weeks.
Coming this fall is "Iconic Phones," a beautifully illustrated book highlighting memorable phones from the past two decades, a project over a year in the making.
