Google's Circle to Search on Android now has a new practical feature.

This new feature will make it easier for Android users to use Circle to Search to translate a menu or a large page.
Circle to Search is a popular and simple-to-use Android feature. By long-pressing the horizontal navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, a Google Search pop-up will appear. Users can then draw a circle around the item they want to search for, and the search results will show up at the bottom of the display.
Google has announced improvements to Circle to Search's translation capabilities. Translation is reportedly among the most used features of Circle to Search. Previously, users translating a long page had to restart the process each time they scrolled down to translate additional content.
To address this, Google developed a way to continue translating while scrolling. With the text to be translated on the screen, users long-press the navigation bar, tap the Translate icon, and press "scroll and translate." The translation will continue as the user scrolls down the page and even when switching between apps.
The update will begin rolling out to select Samsung Galaxy devices later this week.
This new feature allows for continuous translation, such as for menus. Circle to Search was initially launched in January 2024 on the Google Pixel 8, Google Pixel 8 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. Recently, Google added song recognition and the ability to translate an entire page at once.
To translate an entire page, users must have the complete page on their screen, long-press the notification bar, and tap the Translate icon twice after the Google Search pop-up appears. The entire page will then be translated into the selected language.
Additionally, "Iconic Phones: Revolution at Your Fingertips," a coffee table book about the 21st century's technological revolution, will be released in a few months.
