Google's Phone app may get an exclusive feature for Pixel phones.

Code discovered in a beta version of the Phone by Google app could include a feature named "Expressive Calling."
A new "Expressive Calling" function may be coming to the Phone by Google application, according to code discovered in the app's beta version 201 on the Google Play Store. This feature would let users specify the purpose of their call to the recipient, such as indicating that the call is urgent or just a friendly catch-up. Callers can select a reason from options such as:
"Catch up"
"News to share"
"Quick question"
"It's urgent!"
If a caller marks a call as "urgent," the recipient will hear a distinctive sound, and the call will bypass the "Do Not Disturb" setting if enabled. If an "urgent" call is missed, the recipient will receive a notification stating "Missed Urgent Call" on their incoming call screen, as well as through a notification. The "Expressive Calling" feature will require users to grant SMS permission to the Phone by Google app to function.
The recipient will also hear a sound if the caller indicates that the call is "urgent." If enabled, the "Do not Disturb" setting will be overridden by an "urgent" designation. If an "Urgent" call is not answered, the other party will be notified via a notification that says "Missed Urgent Call." To use "Expressive Calling," the Phone by Google app needs SMS permission from the user.
This feature has not been officially announced and might not be released. If Google launches "Expressive Calling," it is expected to be exclusive to Pixel phones. This function could be helpful when it is important to get in touch with someone immediately. Informing the receiver that the call is urgent could increase the chance that they will answer.
Overall, this feature seems like something that would be useful, and there is hope that Google will implement it on the Pixel line.
