Here's what's known so far about the OnePlus 15's camera.

The most ambitious OnePlus camera system yet… Now it just needs to live up to the hype.
The OnePlus 15 is slated to debut in China in October 2025 and worldwide in early 2026, and it is expected to have several upgrades. It is expected to have a bigger battery and may be among the first phones in the U.S. to use the next Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip from Qualcomm, in addition to potentially signaling a change in OnePlus' approach to cameras.
OnePlus will skip the number 14, going from the OnePlus 13 to the OnePlus 15.
The phone will likely feature a triple rear camera arrangement with enhanced hardware and processing capabilities:
Likely configuration: 50 MP primary lens, 50 MP ultra-wide lens, 50 MP 3x telephoto lens
Possible configuration: 200 MP telephoto lens instead of a 50 MP zoom lens
Potential end of the Hasselblad collaboration in favor of OnePlus’ own imaging system
A new customizable Action Button that can be programmed for camera functions, according to OnePlus
The OnePlus 15 is expected to have three back cameras (wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto) and one front-facing camera. The rear camera is rumored to be located in a new rectangular section with rounded corners at the top-left.
The most reliable rumors suggest a triple 50 MP configuration on the back. However, there are also reports of a new 200 MP telephoto camera being tested.
Expected rear setup: 50 MP main, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP 3x telephoto
Alternate rear setup: higher-resolution main, 50 MP ultra-wide, 200 MP telephoto
Front: Megapixel count is unknown
The OnePlus 13 used the same 50 MP main sensor as the OnePlus 12, but the OnePlus 15 is expected to have an improved primary camera. While there are rumors of a resolution increase, there is currently no solid evidence to support this.
The most notable rumor is a 200 MP telephoto lens replacing the standard 50 MP lens. This would provide greater detail at a distance and cleaner hybrid zoom crops. The alternative remains a 50 MP 3x telephoto lens.
Reports indicate that OnePlus might discontinue its partnership with Hasselblad and switch to its own imaging platform. Expect color science, HDR tone mapping, and sharpening to reflect OnePlus' adjustments rather than Hasselblad-branded profiles.
The OnePlus 15 is also anticipated to have camera-related features such as:
AI Detail Boost (enhances detail)
AI Unblur (reduces blur)
AI Reflection Eraser (improves shots taken through glass)
These features are consistent with OnePlus' broader AI feature set on Android 16.
The new Action Button is predicted to replace the mute slider on the OnePlus 15. According to OnePlus, it can be mapped to launch apps or take pictures, making it a convenient shutter or quick-launch control for the camera.
