HP has released a new laptop designed for League of Legends players.

According to Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President and Division President of Personal Systems Gaming Solutions, HP, in October 2025, gamers desire equipment that expresses their style, whether they are casual fans or dedicated competitors. This product launch and continuing partnership with Riot Games honors performance and design that appeals to the gaming community.

The 16-inch display features a refresh rate of up to 240Hz and a brightness of 500 nits. It's bright enough for indoor use. The OMEN AI in Gaming Hub automatically adjusts power, thermals, and performance with a single click. It promises no menu adjustments or overheating.

HP estimates a battery life of up to 5 hours and 45 minutes. Expect less during intensive gaming. It also supports quick charging, reaching roughly 50% in 30 minutes.

Is it worthwhile if you aren't a LoL fan?

If the LoL design is unimportant, there are similarly priced alternatives. The Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025) 615, for example, starts at $1,999 and has an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU. This is better for productivity and suitable for both gaming and resource-intensive tasks.

Ultimately, the decision comes down to priorities: distinctive fan design with dependable gaming (HP Omen) or powerful CPU performance with solid gaming (Asus).
