Leaked images show a very thin Galaxy S26 Edge with a controversial design.

Love it or hate it, Samsung's single 2026 replacement for the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 Plus is just about confirmed to rock a massive rear camera island.

Mirroring recent speculation, the Galaxy S26 Edge is rumored to be Samsung's replacement for both the S25 Edge and S25 Plus in their 2026 flagship lineup.
The Plus models have struggled with sales, and the S25 Edge reportedly had a weak start, putting pressure on the new model, which is expected to have a distinctive design.
Reportedly, the S26 Edge will measure 5.5mm at its thinnest and 10.8mm at its thickest, featuring a prominent camera module stretching across the phone's back, housing two vertically arranged camera sensors in the top left corner.
The purpose of the large camera component is unclear, but it may house components allowing for a larger battery while reducing the phone's overall thickness.
The S26 Edge is expected to have a battery capacity of around 4,200mAh, an upgrade from the previous model's 3,900mAh.
Cosmetic details from the leak include a centered front-facing camera, thin screen bezels, and rounded corners. The display is expected to be 6.7 inches, similar to the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Edge.
The S26 Edge's expected dimensions of 158.4mm in height and 75.7mm in width are also similar to its predecessors.
The phone may use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor in some regions, along with 12 or 16GB of RAM, and storage options up to 1TB.
The Android Headlines report indicates the Galaxy S26 Edge will include built-in magnets for Qi2 wireless charging support.
This feature is likely to extend to the entire Galaxy S26 series, aligning it with Google's Pixel 10 and Apple's upcoming iPhone 17. This addition would enhance the convenience of Samsung's phones, complementing their performance, cameras, and battery life.
