Leaks suggest the OnePlus 15 could be a true flagship killer phone.

The OnePlus 15 may get a higher zoom telephoto camera and a lower price.
OnePlus 15 may have a significantly lower price due to the reduction of costly components, according to a post from OnePlus Club.
The OnePlus 15 is designed for high performance. A leaker from Digital Chat Station also posted that the OnePlus 15 zoom camera may feature higher zoom. The device may include a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.8 aperture and an 85mm equivalent focal length.
This camera could offer between 3.5x and 3.7x optical zoom, depending on the primary shooter's focal length. The OnePlus 13 featured a 23mm primary camera with a 50MP sensor, along with a 73mm periscope telephoto camera that provided triple optical zoom, and a f/2.6 aperture. The OnePlus 15 might have a narrower f/2.8 aperture, potentially making low-light zoom photography more difficult.
Even without a significant price decrease, the OnePlus 15 is expected to be an impressive device. It may feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (possibly named Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5), up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. It's also rumored to have a 6.78-inch, 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 7,000 mAh battery supporting 120W wired charging.
There is ongoing speculation about the iPhone 17 series, but leaks have not suggested a price drop. It is too early for details on the Galaxy S26 series; however, a lower price than the Galaxy S25 would be unexpected. If the information regarding the OnePlus 15 is correct and applies to the US market, it could be the only flagship smartphone with a lower price than its previous model.
While a discount on any smartphone is uncertain, a change in OnePlus' strategy could signal a return to its flagship-killer days. This could potentially disrupt the market, especially considering the increasing cost of devices.
