Lenovo's new Idea Tab and Idea Tab Plus are now available in the US at competitive prices.

If you have anywhere between $190 and $290 to spend on a mid-range tablet today, you should probably consider these newly released Lenovos.
If the Idea Tab Pro's starting price of $389.99 seemed a bit much when it launched months ago, the Lenovo Idea Tab Plus, priced at $289.99, might be the perfect solution, offering a strong combination of quality and affordability.
Key specifications:
* 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution
* MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor
* Android 15
* Guaranteed OS upgrades for two years, plus four years of security updates
* 8GB of RAM
* 128GB of internal storage
* microSD card slot
* 13MP rear camera
* 8MP front camera
* Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos tuning
* 10,200mAh battery
* 45W fast charging
* Weight of 530 grams
* Dimensions of 278.8 x 181.05 x 6.29mm
* Luna Grey color option
* Lenovo Tab Pen included
Marketed as "thinner than a notebook" and lighter "than a bottle of water," the Idea Tab Plus has an appearance as stylish as one could expect for an Android tablet in its price range, without major compromises. The Dimensity 6400 SoC is also found in phones like the Realme 15T, but it is not as fast as the Dimensity 8300 in the Idea Tab Pro.
The standard Idea Tab has:
* 11-inch display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate
* MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor
* Android 15
* Two years of OS upgrades and four years of security support
* 4GB and 8GB RAM options
* 128GB storage
* microSD card slot
* 8MP rear camera
* 5MP front camera
* Quad speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos
* 7,040mAh battery
* 20W charging
* 480 grams weight
* 254.59 x 166.15 x 6.99mm dimensions
* Luna Grey color.
The Idea Tab Plus's thickness is 6.29mm, extending to 8.55mm at its thickest point. Its battery can last up to 13 hours of YouTube streaming on one charge.
Unlike the Idea Tab Plus, the standard Idea Tab has options for 4GB RAM for $189.99 or $40 more for 8GB of RAM. Both models have a 90Hz refresh rate, while the standard Idea Tab uses a smaller battery within a thicker design than the Plus model.
The Lenovo Idea Tab, Idea Tab Plus, and Idea Tab Pro are compelling options among competitively priced mid-range tablets in the US market.
Although more elegant, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series feels overpriced for its features. The Lenovo Idea Tab Plus includes a stylus, and the Idea Tab's low price offsets its shortcomings.
The Lenovo Idea Tab may soon face competition from the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11, but that model may not compete in terms of raw performance and battery.
Lenovo currently makes the best affordable tablets. The build, performance, battery, sound and display are generally satisfying.
While satisfaction cannot be guaranteed, the Idea Tab series provides great value for the price, making them worth considering.
