LG is hoping to supply Apple with improved iPhone displays, but Apple may take a while to decide.

It may take an anniversary iPhone to get LG’s best display in front of your eyes.
Apple had reportedly considered a version of the technology known as Simplified Tandem OLED. Rather than stacking two OLED layers containing red, green, and blue sub-pixels, this alternative doubles only the blue sub-pixels. The red and green remain in the primary layer, which simplifies production and lowers costs. Since blue pixels tend to degrade more quickly and consume more power, this method can also extend the display's lifespan.
LG Display might persuade Apple to use this technology for the iPhone in 2028. For its 10th anniversary, Apple revealed a major redesign with the iPhone X, and a similar update may occur for the 20th anniversary of their flagship product.
I am pleased to announce a personal project that we have been developing over the last year will be released in a few months.
