Most people are interested in buying Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold phone.

Should the results of a recent poll regarding Galaxy Z TriFold buyer interest encourage Samsung?
A recent PhoneArena poll indicates significant interest in Samsung's first triple-folding smartphone.
However, the world's leading smartphone seller is unlikely to see this excitement translate into high sales numbers.
Beyond the product name, a major obstacle for over 43 percent of poll respondents considering the Galaxy Z TriFold is its rumored high price, potentially reaching around $3,000 in markets like South Korea. This makes it far more expensive than the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
Another key issue is the limited availability. The foldable, a potential alternative to the Huawei Mate XT, is reportedly intended for markets like China, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, with potentially limited quantities even there.
Therefore, despite being willing to pay a premium for this experimental device, many may not be able to purchase it from an official store, especially in the US or Europe.
While over 40 percent of respondents said they would "probably" buy the Galaxy Z TriFold even at $3,000, with only about 17 percent dismissing it, the company likely views this as a temporary situation.
Since the initial TriFold model is projected to sell only 20,000 to 30,000 units globally, Samsung must hope this interest extends to a future version.
The second version is unlikely to appear for at least a year. By then, Apple's foldable iPhone could be available, potentially overshadowing other foldable devices in the market, regardless of their functionality.
Another PhoneArena poll revealed that 44 percent of over 200 participants believe the iPhone Fold will be more successful than next year's Galaxy Z Fold 8, while 40 percent disagreed, citing Samsung's current lead in the foldable market.
This is positive news for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. It suggests that Samsung should concentrate on refining its existing products rather than focusing heavily on experimental designs.
While a Galaxy Z TriFold sequel is not out of the question, prioritizing the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and possibly more affordable FE versions, is essential to compete with Apple.
