Motorola is launching a new budget-friendly mid-range phone that features a large 7,000mAh battery and will receive the Android 16 update.

The Moto G57 Power looks like a dreamy budget-friendly Android handset for Motorola's European fans.
It wasn't too long ago that a smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery seemed far-fetched. Now, Motorola has introduced its fifth affordable phone with a battery capacity exceeding 6,700mAh in less than half a year.

The latest Moto G series addition features a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC, which Qualcomm announced recently.
Motorola states the Moto G57 and G57 Power are the first smartphones to use this mid-range chipset. However, the Moto G67 Power has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
The Moto G57 Power should still have an advantage over other budget phones, as well as its Android 16 software.
The Moto G67 Power and the Moto G100 both run Android 15.
The Moto G57 and G57 Power have "pro-grade" camera systems and designs with vegan leather finishes, Pantone colors, and military-grade resistance.
In Europe, the Moto G57 Power will cost €279, or about $320. While higher than the Moto G100 and G67 Power prices, it still makes me hopeful that a future Moto G Power model could offer a 7,000mAh battery for under $300 in the US.
Motorola says the G57 Power can last over two days on a single charge. The standard Moto G57 is rated for up to 47 hours of battery life despite having a smaller 5,200mAh battery.
The standard Moto G57 shares all other specs with the G57 Power. It costs €249 ($285) and is launching in the Middle East.
The Samsung Galaxy A36 5G is more expensive in Europe and has a 5,000mAh battery and a better camera system.
If the G57 Power inspires the Moto G Power (2026), Motorola could increase its US market share, surpassing Samsung and OnePlus in the budget segment.
