Motorola is reportedly prioritizing markets outside the US.

The recent announcements of the Moto G57 Power, G67 Power, Moto G (2026), and Moto G Play (2026) prove Motorola is still not taking the US market seriously.
In the past week, Motorola has revealed four different phones: the Moto G67 Power, Moto G (2026), Moto G Play (2026), and Moto G57 Power.
While these phones may not excite hardcore Android fans, they could appeal to people who appreciate a solid mid-range phone with good specs and affordable pricing. However, these new Moto G models do have some apparent shortcomings.
Motorola's US product release strategy has been perplexing for years, and the Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) continue this trend.
The Moto G (2026) is similar to the Moto G (2025), featuring an "HD+" screen, a 5,200mAh battery, and a $199.99 price tag. The display resolution remains unchanged from its predecessor.
For the same price, better options may exist, and Motorola could offer more to compete with phones like Samsung's Galaxy A16 5G and the upcoming Galaxy A17 5G.
The $169.99 Moto G Play (2026) offers even less, with a single rear camera, 64GB of storage, and 4GB of RAM.
The Moto G57 Power, priced at €279 in Europe, includes a 7,000mAh battery, military-grade durability, 256GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM.
The Moto G67 Power, available in India for around $180, offers the same large battery and a robust design.
While the Moto G67 Power may not be available in the US for under $200, Motorola should improve its low and mid-range devices for the US market, especially given the success of the 2025 Razr series.
The US-specific Razr (2025), Razr Plus (2025), and Razr Ultra (2025) mirror the international Razr 60 series, boosting the company's foldable phone sales.
However, the Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) are inferior to the latest international Moto G models, raising concerns about the upcoming Moto G Power (2026) and Moto G Stylus (2026).
While these US-bound mid-rangers should surpass the Moto G and G Play, there are concerns that the Moto G Power (2026)'s battery might not receive a significant upgrade from the Moto G Power (2025)'s 5,000mAh capacity.
With three recent Moto G phones exceeding 7,000mAh in other regions, Motorola should prioritize the US market and encourage Samsung to enhance its own mid-range offerings to revitalize the stagnant market.
