Older iPhones will no longer be supported by iCloud.

With iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe now official, Apple is cutting off iCloud access for devices stuck on iOS 10 and macOS Sierra.
To use iCloud services, your iPhone must have iOS 11 or later, and your Mac needs macOS High Sierra or later. iCloud services include iCloud Drive, iCloud Photos, iCloud Tabs, iMessage, and Keychain, among other features.
It is understandable that older devices no longer receive support. Apple supports its devices for a long time, providing updates to older devices for a considerable period. However, the company cannot support iPhones indefinitely, as it would require too much work in addition to supporting newer iPhones. It is also likely that few people still use an iPhone 5.
