OnePlus has announced a new phone model with a high-capacity battery and competitive pricing.

Wait, does that make the OnePlus Ace 6 even better than the OnePlus 15?
If you recall the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro from last year, which were exclusive to China, and have been following the recent rumors, then you were likely anticipating the Ace 6 alongside the OnePlus 15 before today's launch event.
Both premium phones have now been officially announced, so it's time to consider whether to purchase the OnePlus 15 or 15R when they become available worldwide.
The Ace 6 has:
6.83-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1272 pixels and a 165Hz refresh rate.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
RAM options of 12GB and 16GB.
Storage choices of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
7,800mAh battery.
120W charging support.
50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture.
8MP secondary ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture.
16MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Dimensions of 163.41 x 77.04 x 8.3mm.
Weight of 213 grams.
The OnePlus Ace 6 isn't quite as advanced as the OnePlus 15 in certain areas. It uses a Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, features two rear cameras instead of three, and has a slightly less premium build.
However, the Ace 6 is still constructed from aluminum and glass, a high-quality combination. To clarify Qualcomm's naming, this phone uses the same chipset as the OnePlus 13.
Therefore, processing power should be sufficient for most users, and the battery life could be even better, potentially the best among Android phones, including the OnePlus 15. The OnePlus Ace 6 has a 7,800mAh battery, which is 500mAh larger than the other new flagship and significantly larger than the OnePlus 13's 6,000mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra isn't comparable to either the Ace 6 or the OnePlus 15, and this will likely remain the case with the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The pricing of this phone is remarkably competitive.
In China, the base model starts at 2,599 yuan (about $365), while the top-tier model with 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM costs 3,899 yuan (under $550 USD).
One-terabyte phones are typically much more expensive in countries like the US. A modified version of the OnePlus Ace 6 is expected to be released globally as the 15R, and based on the OnePlus 13R, it could start around $600. This version would likely have 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, and the 7,800mAh battery.
Given that the OnePlus 13R has a 50 + 50 + 8MP triple rear camera setup, the 15R is likely to improve upon the Ace 6's 50 + 8MP dual camera system, but official details are pending.
Whether the 15R is the right choice depends on its final price.
If it's more affordable than the standard Galaxy S26, its large battery, fast 120W charging, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, stylish design, and smooth AMOLED display make it a compelling option.
