OnePlus is highlighting the OnePlus 15's cooling system and gaming capabilities before its release.

A new “Glacier” chip cooling structure is included – a specialized system to decrease the processor's core temperature – along with a "Glacier" aerogel layer, employing space-grade insulation for comfortable gaming.
Specifically for gamers, OnePlus is introducing a "Gaming Hand Cooling Model.” This feature focuses on cooling ten specific heat areas to keep fingers cool during extended gaming.
OnePlus stated in October 2025 that the OnePlus 15 is equipped with enhanced cooling technology, from the chip to the midframe, and from the materials to the structure. They guarantee consistent performance, even when running at its limit.
The 165Hz display should provide a smooth experience, and the firm states it has reworked the Android touch framework to enhance synchronization, making each touch precise.
A new G2 gaming network chip is included to provide better Wi-Fi and cellular performance in areas with weak signals. As an added bonus, OnePlus has implemented a new gyroscope with console-level specs for quicker reactions and precise controls.
OnePlus believes the 15 will be a performance juggernaut.
The OnePlus 15 will feature a substantial 7,300mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. It will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12 GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 15 is shaping up to be impressive. It appears to be a worthy successor to the OnePlus 13 and has a redesigned look, replacing the circular camera with a streamlined design.
The phone will first launch in China next week, with a global release in November, sooner than usual. This timing puts it alongside the iPhone 17 and Xiaomi 17, ahead of the Galaxy S26. Its 7,300mAh battery could give it a major edge.
Can OnePlus 15 compete with iPhone and Galaxy?
The OnePlus 15 could be a serious contender. If its features perform as expected, it could rival the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
