OnePlus might be developing a "Turbo" phone with a massive 8,000mAh battery.

Hot on the heels of the recently unveiled OnePlus 15 and Ace 6, the Chinese brand that "never settles" could soon release a high-end gaming handset with a bonkers cell capacity.
The company likely has another device planned. Although its release is unclear, many are willing to wait for the 8,000mAh "Turbo" model.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor;
6.7-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate;
8,000mAh battery;
100W charging support;
50MP primary rear camera;
8MP secondary ultra-wide lens;
Glacier Cooling System;
Stereo speakers;
NFC;
In-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
These specifications are not yet finalized. Some details may be inaccurate, but a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) SoC would place the OnePlus Turbo in the same performance category as the OnePlus 15, not the Ace 6.
The OnePlus Ace 6 uses the previous-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, like the OnePlus 13. It is expected to be released internationally as the OnePlus 15R.
The Turbo might be sold in China and India as the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo, similar to last year's Ace 5 Pro. Its 8,000mAh battery would be a significant upgrade from the Ace 5 Pro's 6,100mAh battery and an advantage over the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6, with 7,300mAh and 7,800mAh, respectively.
The OnePlus Turbo (or Ace 6 Turbo) is expected to differentiate itself from the Ace 6 and OnePlus 15 with a focus on gaming.
Aside from a cooling system, it is unclear how OnePlus will enhance the device for gamers. While phones like the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro and Nubia Red Magic 9S Pro exist, many top gaming phones are mainstream Android flagships with fast processors and smooth screens.
Those outside India or China may not be as interested, as it is unlikely to become a global product line. Currently, there is no expectation for the OnePlus 15 series to expand beyond two models in the US or Europe.
However, OnePlus's increasing battery capacity is notable, especially as Samsung has struggled to exceed 5,000mAh for its flagship phones.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026 is expected to have the same battery as the Galaxy S20 Ultra from 2020, while OnePlus is likely to add 3,000mAh to that figure by the end of 2025. The battery sizes of the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 are impressive, and the "Turbo" is anticipated to offer even more.
