Oura released its smart rings in new colors, encouraging users to buy multiple rings.

New ceramic editions in four colors are now available, plus app support for multiple rings and a portable charging case.
## Oura Ring Introduces Ceramic Finishes
The Oura Ring now comes in ceramic, starting at $499, which is $150 more than the original Ring 4. The new colors include:
* Midnight
* Petal
* Tide
* Cloud
The rings are constructed from zirconia ceramic, frequently used in jewelry due to its durability, comfort, and biocompatibility.
According to Miklu Silvanto, chief design officer at Ōura, the company aims to blend technology, health, jewelry, and fashion. Silvanto believes ceramic offers design freedom, enabling the creation of expressive wearable tech.
The ceramic ring is slightly larger than the standard Oura Ring 4 at 3.51mm thick versus 2.88mm, and heavier, weighing between 5.1g and 8.1g compared to 3.3g to 5.2g. The sensors, sizing (4-15), and internal design remain the same.
Oura's move is focused on aesthetics, encouraging users to view the ring as jewelry.
The Oura app will now support multiple rings, similar to how Apple Watch users manage different models.
Oura is also launching a portable charging case that provides five full charges and uses USB-C. Both the ring and the case fully charge in 90 minutes.
The charging case, made from recycled aluminum, is splash-resistant and can store rings. This supports Oura's goal of normalizing owning multiple rings.
Additionally, Oura is introducing Health Panels in its app, which allows users to schedule blood tests at Quest Diagnostics and view around 50 cardiovascular and metabolic health biomarkers.
Users can discuss results with Oura Advisor, an AI assistant, to understand their data. The AI won't diagnose but can highlight if results are normal and suggest general improvements.
Tests cost $99, may be covered by FSA/HSA, and are reviewed by a healthcare provider. Health Panels is initially US-only but excludes Arizona, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island.
This update reinforces Oura's commitment to the smart ring market. The company has been adding women's health features, software partnerships, and a Texas manufacturing site.
Oura recently won a patent case with the US International Trade Commission, leading to a sales ban on competitors Ultrahuman and Ringconn beginning October 21. Oura is focusing on its market leadership through new rings, features, and colors.
The ceramic finishes are a stylish update that may be more durable than metal.
The charging case is a useful addition similar to Samsung's Galaxy Ring. While Samsung's case has a built-in battery, Oura's is a separate purchase. Still, the portable charging adds convenience to the Oura Ring 4.
