Qualcomm is hinting at the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.

Qualcomm will share additional details later this year about its new chipset, which is designed to provide more options and versatility while still offering high-end features.

MediaTek recently revealed the Dimensity 9500, a high-end addition to its Dimensity 9000 series that outperforms the Dimensity 8000, 7000, and 6000 series. Apple's newest A19 and A19 Pro processors offer improvements over the previous A18 and A18 Pro.

Ideally, Qualcomm could adopt a more logical naming system that is easily understood by those outside of the company, even though most users are indifferent to processor names.
