Samsung has an ambitious update schedule for One UI 8, but it's unclear if they can achieve it.

There are so many Galaxy phones and tablets Samsung expects to be able to update to the latest Android version in October and November that it's legitimately hard to count them all.
Following the One UI 8 release for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea yesterday, Samsung has shared an update schedule for the next two months, planning to update nearly 60 devices to the newest Android version.
This extensive list of Galaxy phones and tablets is currently focused on South Korea, but successful execution in October and November suggests a broader global rollout by year's end.
October - Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, Quantum 6, Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra, S23 FE, Quantum 5, Galaxy Tab S10 Plus, Tab S10 Ultra, Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE Plus, Galaxy A36, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold Special Edition, Quantum 4, Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, S22 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9 Plus, Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy Tab Active 5, Galaxy Jump 4, Galaxy A35, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S9 FE, Tab S9 FE Plus, Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, Galaxy A53, Quantum 3, Buddy 4, Galaxy A34, A25, Wide 8.
November - Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Jump 3, Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, Tab S8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Galaxy A15, Buddy 3, Galaxy A16, A24, A33, Wide 7, Jump 2, Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, Tab A9, Tab A9 Plus, Tab A11.
This timetable is ambitious, especially considering some manufacturers may struggle to deliver stable Android 16 updates to even one device by December.
Owners of most Galaxy devices from the last two to three years can anticipate an update to the latest Android version, complete with One UI enhancements, within the next couple of months.
Whether Samsung can achieve this remains to be seen, as past experiences offer mixed signals.
Earlier this year, the company had similar plans for its Android 15-based One UI 7 rollout, but issues led to delays, even for the Galaxy S24 series.
The Galaxy S24 phones experienced delays in receiving One UI 7, and the rollout was not seamless. However, the Android 14-based One UI 6 rollout in late 2023 and early 2024 was smoother, suggesting Samsung could return to form this fall.
One UI 8's simplicity could be its strength, as noted when it debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July.
Android has improved in convenience and functionality, so Samsung focused on refinement, visual appeal, and AI optimizations instead of adding excessive features.
This approach should improve the stability and usefulness of both high-end devices like the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, or Tab S10 Ultra, and more affordable models such as the Galaxy A15, A36, and Galaxy Tab A9.
The arrival of One UI 8 is significant, and successful delivery of these updates in October and November would be welcome.
