Samsung Health's new update makes managing your wellness routine easier, no matter your location.

With new iFIT workouts and integrations with HealthTap and Walgreens, Samsung is taking a big swing at its biggest competitor.
Samsung will begin releasing three significant updates this week, all made possible through new partnerships, starting with telehealth services.
Through a collaboration with HealthTap, users can now schedule virtual doctor appointments directly from the Samsung Health application using the new "Find Care" feature. This enhancement allows users to avoid traditional waiting rooms and manage appointments or follow-up care from their smartphones.
Samsung is also addressing prescription management by integrating with Walgreens. Customers can link their Walgreens pharmacy accounts to monitor prescriptions and medication histories within the application. Given Walgreens' extensive presence as a pharmacy chain in the United States, this is a valuable addition for its clientele.
Lastly, Samsung is enhancing its fitness offerings through guided workout programs from iFIT. The addition of expert-led HIIT, Pilates, and recovery workouts to the platform positions it as a stronger competitor against services like Apple Fitness+. This addition enhances the Samsung ecosystem for fitness users.
This represents a positive move forward. While Samsung's partnership strategy may appear somewhat disjointed, the new features address user needs. It signals Samsung's commitment to establishing its Health app as a central element of its ecosystem.
The phased rollout of these features starts on September 8 in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Italy, France, Spain, and Germany. A broader release is anticipated in the future.
