Samsung may release a Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, a rugged flagship smartwatch that could take on Apple’s Ultra 3.
Galaxy Club reports that Samsung is developing a new smartwatch based on the Galaxy Watch 9. Sources say the South Korean company is referring to the device internally as the Galaxy Watch 9 Ultra.
The report suggests that the smartwatch could be released as the "Galaxy Watch Ultra 2" in the summer of 2026.
Premium, durable smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Ultra are not designed for all consumers. These models are larger and heavier than typical smartwatches and are aimed at users with active lifestyles, offering enhanced battery performance. They also suit individuals involved in intense fitness activities.
While longer battery life is desirable, the size and weight of these devices may not appeal to casual users with primarily indoor routines. The features that Samsung will include this year are anticipated with interest.
