The subtle redesign may be part of a push to standardize the look of Samsung products. Apple and Google use varied designs to distinguish between their high-end and lower-end devices. The standard iPhone 17 has a small camera bump for its dual lenses, while the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air have a larger “camera plateau.” The Pixel 10 and its two Pro versions include a camera bar on the rear, but the cheaper Pixel 9a's camera is nearly flat against the back.
Debatable Decision
I remain unconvinced by Samsung’s unified design, particularly for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It seems wrong to me that a top-tier product would share its design with the company's more affordable phones.
