Samsung's One UI 8 update is now rolling out globally for the Galaxy S25 series.

The moment you've all been waiting for has finally arrived... at least in some countries, with many others virtually guaranteed to follow soon.
Samsung's global rollout of One UI 8 aligns with a preliminary schedule released in Brazil this week, suggesting a broad distribution to numerous devices and regions by month's end.
The update is not yet available in the US, according to online discussions. However, owners of the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra in Europe are reporting the update's arrival, with supporting screenshots.
The update is confirmed in France, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the Caucasus region. This indicates a worldwide release, likely encompassing key markets such as India, Brazil, and Australia soon.
US users may experience delays ranging from hours to weeks, particularly on carriers known for slow Android updates.
Having met the internal deadline of September 18 for the Galaxy S25 series' One UI 8 release outside South Korea, the same is anticipated for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 next week.
Therefore, the S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 could potentially upgrade from Android 15-based One UI 7 by September 25, initially in Europe, with possible expansions to Asia and South America.
This early expansion recalls Samsung's peak software support and contrasts with the problematic One UI 7 release from the prior spring, which was delayed from last fall.
In October, One UI 8 is planned for more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, S22 series, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Galaxy A55, A35, A26, Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy A06 and A07. The feasibility of this remains to be seen, but the start is encouraging.
Before updating, it is advisable to review user feedback on platforms like Reddit to ensure a smooth transition.
Currently, the download size for One UI 8 on the Galaxy S25 series is unknown, and its stability is yet to be determined.
One UI 8 includes subtle enhancements and features designed to improve the user experience. Upgrading from One UI 7 is recommended once the update's safety is confirmed.
