Samsung's upcoming Exynos chip could outperform Snapdragon, potentially focusing on energy efficiency.

Samsung's 2 nm Exynos 2600 is stupidly good, and clearly beats the Snapdragon 8 Elite on the Galaxy S25 phones.
The Exynos 2600 processor seems powerful, but there are some questions about its production.
It is not confirmed that Samsung is ready to begin mass production of the Exynos 2600. Sources say the company's factory has had problems stabilizing the output of its 2 nm production methods.
Samsung might need to handle the Exynos 2600 similarly to the Exynos 2500 this year. The Exynos 2500 was not ready for the Galaxy S25 launch and instead debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Reports suggest the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 on Galaxy S26 is very powerful. Due to production yield problems, Samsung will likely use the 8 Elite Gen 2 instead of an Exynos chip. The Snapdragon chip for the S26 phones is reportedly finalized.
Samsung could return to using both Snapdragon and Exynos chips in different markets. If so, the Snapdragon version would likely perform better. It is uncertain whether the Exynos 2600 is ready for this scenario.
