Some Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 owners are receiving their devices today.

Samsung is truly outdoing itself with the stable One UI 8 rollout, spreading the Android 16-based update to a bunch of high-end phones... in South Korea.
The stable One UI 8 update is currently only available in South Korea for Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users who participated in the public beta program. This initial update is around 600MB. A larger, approximately 4GB update is expected for everyone else, including UI tweaks, new features, performance improvements, and security updates.
The 4GB update is now rolling out to Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra models in Korea. It is expected to reach these phones, as well as the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, in other regions soon.
Given Samsung's speed in releasing the Galaxy S25 series update, the One UI 8 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series, and possibly the Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6, may go global by the end of this week.
This timeline depends on location, device, and whether Samsung encounters bugs as One UI 8 expands to more countries and devices.
If everything proceeds smoothly, the previously unlikely date of September 25 could become a reality for the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, allowing users to move beyond the Android 15-based One UI 7.
Mid-range devices like the Galaxy A56 5G or Galaxy A36 5G might also receive One UI 8 on September 25, with updates potentially starting in South Korea within the next day.
The Galaxy S23 family, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, A55 5G, A35 5G, A26, A17, and A17 5G could follow around October 2, but it's too early to confirm.
Samsung is poised to update millions of Galaxy phones with its modified version of Android 16.
