Some T-Mobile and Verizon users are experiencing service outages.

Some T-Mobile and Verizon customers are having issues but the carriers might be helpless.
T-Mobile and Verizon users began reporting connectivity disruptions that coincided with the onset of problems at Amazon Web Services, suggesting a correlation. Reports of issues were most frequent when the AWS outage was at its most severe.
AWS, a major cloud service provider, is integral to many internet functions, with numerous companies depending on it for essential tasks. The outage began around 3 a.m. Eastern time, causing many apps and sites to go offline. By 5:27 a.m., most services had almost returned to normal, though complete resolution was not yet verified.
As of 2:48 PM, Down Detector indicates that 8,587 AWS clients continue to be affected. Simultaneously, at least 889 Verizon customers and 389 T-Mobile customers are still reporting issues that seem to be linked to the cloud disruption.
This is an ongoing story, and further information will be added as it becomes available.
